XBR-VDX6740T-56-1G-R Brocade VDX 6740T 48-Ports 1GBase-T 40GbE QSFP+ Upgradable to 10GBase-T No Optics AC Port Side Exhaust Airflow Ethernet Switch

The Brocade VDX 6740T-1G offers 48 1000BASE-T ports and two 40 GbE QSFP ports. Each 40 GbE port can be broken out into four independent 10 GbE SFP ports, providing an additional eight 10 GbE SFP ports for uplink. All 48 1000BASE-T ports can be upgraded to 48 10GBASE-T ports via the Capacity on Demand (CoD) software license. Two 40 GbE ports are enabled as part of the base license. The additional two 40 GbE ports can be upgraded via the Ports on Demand (PoD) software license.

The new Brocade VDX 6740T-1G Switch offers dual-speed functionality. It can be deployed with 1000BASET for existing 1 GbE server connectivity and upgraded via software to 10GBASE-T for future bandwidth growth. Together with Brocade VCS Fabric technology, this switch delivers the high performance and low latency needed to support demanding virtualized data center environments.
